Notification Settings
Plantrunner supports multiple notification channels to keep your team informed. Employees configure their own preferences in Personal Settings > Notifications.
Company-level settings
In Company Settings > Payroll, admins can configure:
- Email admins when employees log time -- Send email notifications to Full Administrators and Employee Administrators when timesheets are submitted
Employee notification preferences
Each employee can configure their own notification preferences in Personal Settings > Notifications:
Service Reminders
- Enable service reminders -- Get notified about upcoming scheduled services
- Send reminder at -- Choose what time to receive the reminder (6 AM - 9 AM)
Timesheet Reminders
- Enable timesheet reminders -- Get reminded to log hours
- Reminder time -- When to send the reminder (9 AM - 7 PM)
- Reminder days -- Which days of the week to send reminders
Admin Alerts (admins only)
Admins can enable alerts for employee activity:
- Employee check-in alerts -- When employees check in at service locations
- Employee check-out alerts -- When employees check out from service locations
- Timesheet logged alerts -- When employees log time entries
Notification channels
Push notifications
Sent to the mobile app via Firebase Cloud Messaging. Requires the employee to have notifications enabled on their device. See Push Notifications.
If push notifications are not enabled, a prompt will appear to enable them.
Email notifications
Sent to the employee's email address for important events like:
- Email verification
- Password reset
- Order status changes (employees are notified when their orders change status)
- New orders (admins are notified when orders are placed)
