Data Export

Plantrunner provides data export capabilities for payroll processing, job costing, and record-keeping.

Plan Required

Pay period exports require the Team plan or higher.

Pay period export​

Export timesheet data for payroll processing. See Exporting Pay Period Data for details.

Export formats​

File format​

All exports are CSV (comma-separated values), compatible with:

  • Excel
  • Google Sheets
  • QuickBooks
  • Most payroll processing systems

Job costing export​

The Job Costing page can export labor cost by customer location for a selected pay period. The CSV includes approved hours, pending hours, total hours, labor cost, missing-rate hours, employee counts, entry counts, and a totals row.

Importing data​

To bring existing customers, locations, or plant records into Plantrunner, use Data Import.

Best practices​

  • Export pay period data after all timesheets have been reviewed and approved
  • Keep exported files as part of your payroll records
  • Close the pay period before exporting to prevent further changes to the data
  • Use the QuickBooks format if importing directly into QuickBooks
