What is Plantrunner?

Plantrunner is a management platform for indoor plant service companies. It handles customer management, route planning, service visit tracking, plant inventory, employee timesheets, and order management.

Do I need a separate mobile app?

Plantrunner has native mobile apps for iOS and Android for field technicians. The full web version is also accessible from any mobile browser. See Mobile App.

Can I use Plantrunner offline?

Yes. The mobile app supports offline mode for service visits, plant health logging, and other field operations. Data syncs automatically when connectivity returns. See Offline Mode.

Accounts

How do I add a new employee?

Go to Employees and click Add Employee. Enter their name and email to send an invitation. See Adding Employees.

Can an employee have multiple roles?

Yes. Employees can hold multiple roles simultaneously. Permissions are additive across all assigned roles. See Roles.

What happens if I forget my password?

Use the forgot password link on the sign-in page. You'll receive an email with a link to reset your password.

Features

What's the difference between plans?

Sprout includes core features (customers, routes, service visits, employees, orders). Team adds timesheets, pay periods, and plant inventory. Growth adds scoped admin roles. QR code tracking is coming soon. See Plans Overview.

How does route optimization work?

Plantrunner calculates the most efficient driving order for your waypoints based on real road networks. See Route Optimization.

Can I track plants without QR codes?

Yes. Plant inventory is available on the Team plan. You can track plants, log health, and view history. QR code tracking is a planned feature coming soon to the Growth plan.

How do pay periods work?

Set up a pay period schedule (weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly) and Plantrunner auto-generates periods. Employees log time against open periods, and admins approve entries before export. See Pay Periods.

Billing

Can I change my plan?

Yes. Upgrade or downgrade at any time from the Billing page. See Upgrading.

What payment methods do you accept?

Plantrunner uses Stripe for billing, which supports all major credit and debit cards.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your data is preserved. If you resubscribe later, everything is still there.
