Operational Calendar
The Operational Calendar gives office staff one place to see planned route work and recorded service visits. It combines recurring route schedules, one-off visits, and completed field activity into month, week, and day views.
Opening the calendar
Go to Calendar in the sidebar.
The Calendar link appears for users who can view routes. The calendar data also requires service visit access, so employees only see work they are allowed to view.
Calendar views
Use the view selector to switch between:
- Month -- Best for spotting busy weeks and upcoming coverage gaps
- Week -- Best for dispatch planning and workload balancing
- Day -- Best for seeing the agenda for a specific service day
Use Today to return to the current date. Use the previous and next buttons to move by the selected view.
The selected date and view are stored in the page URL, so you can refresh or share a specific calendar view.
What appears on the calendar
The calendar can show these event types:
| Event type | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Scheduled route | A recurring active route projected onto a service day |
| One-off visit | A single scheduled visit created from the calendar |
| Completed visit | A service visit that has been checked out |
| Visit in progress | A service visit that has been checked in |
| Cancelled visit | A service visit marked cancelled |
Recurring routes are projected from the route's day-of-week settings, week pattern, company cycle start date, and active status. One-off visits appear only on their scheduled date.
